Closing of Playgrounds

Meal and Snack Sites During COVID-19 School Closure

School buses will also be out in the community to deliver lunch today and until further notice from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.. 
The two communities are:  Cornerstone: Phillips Place and at Chase and Stoneleigh.
The bus drivers will blow their horns. Please listen and look out for them for lunch deliveries. 
For all arriving by car, meals will be brought out to students; they will not leave their vehicle. Individuals arriving by foot or public transportation should avoid congregating in large groups. There will be a walkup area from which to pick up meals as ‘grab and go.’ At this time and for precautionary reasons, volunteer opportunities are limited.

Free Transportation for After School Tutorial!

We heard your voice and listened! We are happy to inform you that Free Transportation is now offered for Tuesday and Thursday tutorial students. Yes! We will drop your Tuesday's and Thursday's babies home if they are attending the Redan Tutorial Program!! 


This will start: Tuesday, February 4, 2020!! That's Right Tuesday, February 4, 2020!


If you want to take advantage of this service, please inform your child’s homeroom teacher. Let's get our children in Tutorial to aide in closing the GAP! Please view the link for details.

This is a reminder that student accident insurance is offered through T.W. Lord & Associates.  This coverage provides protection against medical expenses resulting from accidental injury to your child.

Redan Elementary School was recently awarded 2018 National Beta School of Merit status. Offering National Beta to eligible grades at our school, provides students with experiences in leadership development and service involvement which strengthen and build their futures.

Hot off the Press!

DeKalb County Public Library (DCPL) is offering temporary Digital Library cards for full access to DCPL digital resources through May 31, 2020. This will allows DeKalb County residents and DCSD students to gain access to valuable resources provided by DCPL through May 31, 2020.
If you already possess a DCPL Library Card, there is no need to apply for a temporary digital library card.


As with open access, DCPL strongly encourages parents to monitor the digital resources for age appropriateness for their children.
